Aamir Khan Opens Up About Marriage and Career Struggles on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Don’t Miss the Promo!

Mumbai: Bollywood icon Aamir Khan is set to grace the stage of Netflix’s popular comedy chat show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, this Saturday. A teaser for the upcoming episode was unveiled on social media, showcasing Aamir in high spirits as he joins Kapil Sharma and his lively crew.

Kids Don’t Heed Aamir’s Advice

The promo kicks off with Kapil Sharma displaying an array of trophies on stage, revealing that they all belong to the multifaceted Aamir Khan. Aamir receives a warm reception from the studio audience and casually moves from one couch to another to settle in. During the show, Aamir humorously complains about his children not heeding his advice. He mentions a lengthy family debate about his outfit choice for the show, revealing that while he preferred to wear shorts, his children insisted he wear trousers.

Aamir also candidly addresses the lukewarm reception of his last two films, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. Kapil offers consolation, highlighting that even Aamir’s films that ‘don’t work’ manage to make significant earnings. ‘Permanent Guest’ Archana Puran Singh quizzed him on his absence from award shows, to which he responded, “Time is very precious; one must utilize it well”.

Is Marriage on the Cards Again?

Kapil Sharma doesn’t miss the chance to tease Aamir, asking, “Aapko nahi lagta ab aapko bhi settle hojana chahiye (Don’t you think you should ‘settle down’ too)?” Aamir chuckled in response. Having been married and divorced twice to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao respectively, Aamir is father to three children: sons Junaid and Azad and daughter Ira.

On the professional front, Aamir is gearing up for his next production, ‘Lahore 1947’. The film features Sunny Deol in the lead role and is helmed by director Rajkumar Santoshi. The star-studded cast also includes Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, and Ali Fazal.

The Great Indian Kapil Show is now streaming weekly on Netflix. Previously, the episode featured the team of ‘Chamkila’ – Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, and Imtiaz Ali.
