Mumbai: The question on everyone’s lips is whether KGF star Yash will play the formidable Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While the casting for the epic film is still under wraps, fans can expect an official announcement soon. In an exciting twist, it’s confirmed that Yash has stepped into the producer’s shoes for the trilogy alongside Namit Malhotra. The film is said to feature Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Lord Ram and Sita, respectively.

Yash, the KGF actor, revealed that he connected with Namit, the force behind one of the best VFX studios, in LA. Their synergy on the vision for Indian cinema was seamless. Speaking to Variety, Yash added, “The ‘Ramayana,’ as a subject, deeply resonates with me, and I had a specific approach in mind for it. By co-producing ‘Ramayana,’ we are merging our collective vision and experience to craft an Indian film that will spark excitement and passion among audiences worldwide”.
For those unfamiliar, Namit Malhotra is the CEO of DNEG, a British visual effects, computer animation, and stereo conversion studio. DNEG has been honored with eight Oscar awards for their contributions to films like ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Inception,’ ‘Interstellar,’ ‘Ex Machina,’ ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘First Man,’ ‘Tenet,’ and ‘Dune.’

Rahman to compose the film’s music. The VFX company, renowned for its work on films like ‘Dune’ and ‘Oppenheimer,’ will handle the visual effects for Ramayana.
