Vietnam Directs Netflix to Cease Game Advertising and Distribution

Hanoi: Vietnam has mandated that Netflix Inc (NFLX.O) halt advertising and distribution of its games within the country before April 25th, as the U.S. streaming platform lacks a license for gaming services, announced the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (ABEI) on Thursday. The directive further instructed, “We order Netflix to discontinue advertising and publishing of Netflix’s video games on the Netflix application, as well as on Appstore Vietnam and Google Play store Vietnam, before April 25.”
