New York: Elon Musk, the tech visionary behind xAI, has revealed that the latest iteration of his artificial intelligence startup’s chatbot, Grok-1.5, will be unveiled on his social media platform X next week, as announced in a post on X on Friday.
In his statement, Musk expressed optimism about the capabilities of Grok 2, stating, “Grok 2 should exceed current AI on all metrics. In training now.”

Grok-1.5
According to xAI’s official statement released on Thursday, Grok-1.5, an upgraded version of its predecessor Grok, will soon be accessible to early testers and existing Grok users on X.

This announcement follows Musk’s recent declaration earlier this month that xAI intends to make Grok open-source. This decision came shortly after the billionaire initiated legal action against Microsoft-backed OpenAI, alleging a departure from its original mission in favor of a profit-oriented approach.
With aspirations to rival tech giants like OpenAI and Alphabet’s Google, Musk founded xAI last year, positioning it as a formidable contender in the AI landscape.
