Canberra: Pilots from Qantas Airways (QAN.AX) subsidiaries, Network Aviation, and QantasLink, are poised to stage another strike this week as they persist in their demand for higher wages, according to the Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP).
These pilot groups are pushing for a new enterprise deal to replace the expired Network Aviation Pilots Enterprise Agreement 2016, which lapsed in October 2020. As negotiations continue, pilots at QantasLink and Network Aviation plan to cease work on Thursday and Friday, as announced by the AFAP.

Despite repeated attempts to reach an agreement, including three rejected deals, which included an offer of a pay increase exceeding 25% with subsequent 3% annual raises, discussions between the union and the airline have stretched over 18 months without resolution.

According to a report by the international news agency Reuters, Qantas Airways, Australia’s national carrier, has yet to respond to the matter.
