500 Female Students Receive Amazon Future Engineer Scholarships on International Women’s Day

New Delhi: Amazon India has made a significant announcement on the eve of International Women’s Day, unveiling scholarships for 500 female students as part of the esteemed Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program in India. This initiative is poised to provide vital resources and opportunities for aspiring women in the tech industry, reflecting Amazon’s steadfast commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion while empowering the next generation of female leaders.

The scholarships, a testament to Amazon’s dedication, will grant selected students INR 50,000 annually throughout the duration of their computer science or related studies. Beyond financial assistance, recipients will benefit from mentorship by Amazon employees and specialized coding boot camps. In a bid to facilitate seamless participation, scholars will also receive personal laptops this year.

Akshay Kashyap, Lead of Amazon Future Engineer at Amazon India, expressed pride in the company’s efforts to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, emphasizing their commitment to promoting diversity within the tech sector. Since its inception in 2022, the program has been instrumental in supporting female students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing careers in technology.
