London: The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 1 to 29 in the West Indies and the USA, featuring a total of 20 teams vying for the coveted trophy. Ahead of the tournament, former England captain Michael Vaughan has offered his insights and predictions for the upcoming edition of this thrilling cricket spectacle.
In an unexpected turn, Vaughan has disregarded traditional favorites such as India, Pakistan, and defending champions England. Instead, he has placed his bet on the 2021 T20 World Cup champions, Australia, to clinch the title once again.
During an appearance on the Club Pairie Fire Podcast, the cricket expert highlighted Australia’s formidable batting lineup, emphasizing their strength and depth in the shortest format of the game. Vaughan expressed confidence in Australia’s ability to dominate with power hitters like Head, Warner, Marsh, Maxwell, Inglis, and Short of Wade, complemented by a versatile bowling attack.

“Um, I think Australia arrives in the West Indies and America as favourites to win. I know we are not allowed to have a punt in the game, but I would be having a punt on Australia if I was allowed to have a punt,” Vaughan remarked.
