Sara Ali Khan Shines in ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ Trailer: A Gripping Tale of Freedom Fighter Usha Mehta

Mumbai: Prime Video has unveiled an enthralling trailer for the much-anticipated film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan,’ delving into India’s turbulent struggle for independence in 1942. Directed by Kannan Iyer and penned by Darab Farooqui and Iyer, this patriotic epic stars Sara Ali Khan in a formidable lead role. With its compelling narrative and stellar ensemble, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is poised to enrapture audiences worldwide, echoing the enduring values of freedom, solidarity, and valor.

The trailer of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ plunges viewers into the pre-independence milieu, introducing Usha (Sara Ali Khan), a 22-year-old student in Bombay, who spearheads an underground radio station to bolster the Quit India Movement. Illustrating the bravery and sacrifices of India’s youth, the film navigates the essence of freedom through her remarkable journey.

In a social media post, the OTT platform shared, “Rising from the annals of history, a saga of unwavering courage unfolds. Witness the journey in #AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime, premiering Mar 21”.

Expressing her profound experience portraying the character, Sara Ali Khan remarked, “Portraying such a powerful character in Ae Watan Mere Watan has been an honor beyond words. Apart from Sara Ali Khan, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ also features Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Nell, and Anand Tiwari. Additionally, the film boasts a special appearance by Emraan Hashmi.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and spearheaded by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, the movie is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 21.
