In a significant move gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has unveiled its roster of key candidates, featuring prominent names from various constituencies across the country. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) BJP releases 1st list of 195 candidates.
Among the notable figures announced are Suresh Gopi from Thrissur, Anil Antony from Pathanamthitta, and Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram, representing Kerala. Meanwhile, the NDA lineup also includes heavyweight names such as Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna, Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Vidisha, and Arjun Meghwal from Bikaner.
From Rajasthan, the NDA has put forward Bhupendra Yadav from Alwar and Gajendrasingh Sekhawat from Jodhpur, alongside Om Birla from Kota. Bandi Sanjay Kumar from Karimnagar, G Kishen Reddy from Secunderabad, and Biplab Deb from Tripura West are among the other notable candidates announced by the alliance.
Furthermore, the NDA has also revealed its candidates for crucial constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, with Ajay Mishra Teni contesting from Lakhimpur Kheri, Hema Malini from Mathura, and Sakshi Maharaj from Unnao. The lineup also features stalwarts like Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Smriti Irani from Amethi, and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti from Fatehpur. Ravi Kishan will be contesting from Gorakhpur, Nirahua from Azamgarh, and Locket Chatterjee from Hooghly.
The announcement follows intensive back-to-back meetings held by the party to evaluate the performance of sitting MPs. These deliberations played a pivotal role in the selection of candidates tasked with shouldering the responsibility of securing victory for the NDA in the upcoming elections.
