Sachin Tendulkar’s Heartfelt Mission: Healing Deformities in Kashmir’s Babies

Mumbai: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has taken to social media to shed light on his foundation’s collaboration with a healthcare organization in Kashmir, aimed at aiding the treatment of infants born with deformities. Beyond his cricketing prowess, Sachin is celebrated for his philanthropic endeavors through the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF). Amidst his visit to Kashmir, the cricket legend made a poignant stop at the Inga Health Foundation Hospital, engaging with medical professionals, children, and their families.

In his post, Sachin shared, “One of the centers we have been supporting is in Srinagar. During our trip to Jammu & Kashmir, we spent time in Inga Health Foundation’s hospital, interacting with doctors, children, and their parents.” His compassion was palpable as he recounted witnessing the transformative impact of surgeries on the lives of these young patients, an experience that resonated deeply with his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, leaving them all beaming with joy. “Listening to the stories of how the surgery has transformed the lives of these children was indeed gratifying. Anjali, Sara, and I were all smiles after meeting these little heroes,” Sachin expressed.

Throughout his Kashmir excursion, Sachin has been actively updating fans on his endeavors. From sharing glimpses of his travels to visiting a bat manufacturing unit in Charsoo renowned for crafting Kashmir willow bats, the Tendulkar family has been engaging with locals, fostering connections beyond the cricket field.

Sachin Tendulkar’s commitment to community welfare extends far beyond his cricketing achievements. Last year, he collaborated with the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to provide nutrition and education to children in Sri Lanka.

His interactions with children during this initiative underscored his dedication to promoting compassion and equality. Notably, Sachin was also seen alongside David Beckham during the 2023 ODI World Cup, championing UNICEF’s cause in India.
