Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe Rocked by Bomb Blast, Sign of Terrorist Attack

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed that the explosion at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe was a bomb blast.

A bomb blast struck Bengaluru’s bustling Rameshwaram Cafe in the Brookefield area, leaving at least nine individuals injured in its wake. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed the explosion, attributing it to an improvised explosive device (IED) cunningly placed inside the cafe by an unidentified individual.

According to Siddaramaiah, the perpetrator discreetly deposited a bag containing the explosive device within the cafe premises after having breakfast there. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, revealing the suspect’s actions before the blast occurred.

Authorities have intensified their investigation, with police scouring the cafe for any additional threats. Siddaramaiah assured the public that the injured, including cafe staff and customers, are receiving treatment, and their conditions are stable.

While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, Siddaramaiah refrained from categorizing it as a terrorist act, emphasizing the ongoing investigation to ascertain the perpetrator’s intentions.

The aftermath of the blast depicted scenes of chaos and panic, with patrons seen fleeing the cafe amidst billowing smoke. Several individuals sustained injuries, their clothes torn and bodies marked by the impact of the explosion.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting renewed concerns about security and public safety in the city. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend those responsible and ensure the swift delivery of justice for the victims of this senseless act of violence.
