Born in Jetpur, Gujarat, Pankaj Udhas was the youngest among three brothers. His parents, Keshubhai Udhas and Jituben Udhas, raised a family deeply immersed in music. His elder brother Manhar Udhas found success as a Hindi playback singer in Bollywood, while his second brother Nirmal Udhas also gained recognition as a Ghazal singer. Pankaj pursued his education at Sir BPTI Bhavanagar before moving to Mumbai, where he attended St. Xavier’s College.
