London: King Charles and Queen Camilla made a brief appearance before a crowd following the Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, a key event in the calendar of the British monarchy. As the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, the Easter service holds particular significance for the monarch.
The royal couple, with Queen Camilla dressed in a pale blue hat and dress, were joined by other members of the royal family, including Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne, at the historic 15th-century chapel located within the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The presence of Prince Andrew was particularly noteworthy, given his recent absence from the royal Christmas service amidst ongoing scrutiny over his connections to an alleged Chinese spy. Accompanied by his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, Andrew’s return to public life attracted considerable attention.
Notably absent were Prince William, the Prince of Wales, and his wife Catherine, who chose to spend Easter in Norfolk with their children.
During the service, Queen Camilla was presented with a posy of flowers and took the opportunity to greet the crowd, wishing them a “Happy Easter” after the Easter Matins service.

Earlier in the week, King Charles used his annual Easter message to reflect on the themes of war, human suffering, and the heroism displayed by those who risk their lives for others.

This Easter service marked the King’s first public appearance since announcing his cancer diagnosis the previous month, a moment that resonated deeply with the public. Princess Catherine, who also battled cancer last year, shared in January her relief upon being declared in remission.
