The event, held in honour of the Border Security Force (BSF), is more than just a cinematic milestone; it symbolizes a tribute to courage, resilience, and sacrifice.
Produced by Excel Entertainment and helmed by director Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero will be showcased in a special screening where BSF soldiers and officers are the guests of honour. The high-profile premiere stands as a salute to the unsung heroes who have dedicated their lives to national service.
Taking to social media upon his arrival, Emraan Hashmi shared a heartfelt message alongside director Tejas Deoskar, writing:
“Touchdown… landmark day: first Red carpet movie screening after 38 years in #Srinagar. This is a special movie screening to honour BSF soldiers and their officers”.
The candid post resonated across platforms, striking a chord with audiences and sparking excitement across the nation.
In the film, Emraan Hashmi portrays Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, a character inspired by a real-life hero who led one of the BSF’s most daring and significant operations over the last 50 years. The film unfolds over a gripping two-year investigation that highlights the depth of patriotism, personal sacrifice, and tactical brilliance.
