New Delhi: In a landmark insight into the evolving tech landscape, Salesforce’s latest State of IT Survey reveals that a resounding 92% of software development leaders in India believe AI agents are becoming as indispensable to app development as traditional development tools. The global survey, which gathered responses from over 2,000 software development leaders—including 100 in India—highlights India’s overwhelming readiness to embrace the AI-driven future.

This report draws on responses from a double-anonymous survey conducted between December 24, 2024, and February 3, 2025, targeting software development leaders from 29 countries including India, the United States, the UK, Germany, Japan, and others. Additionally, insights from nearly 250 U.S.-based frontline developers were gathered through a partnership with YouGov in February 2025.
