West Bank – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) demolished the home of a Palestinian gunman in the West Bank town of Dayr Ibzi’ overnight, following his involvement in a deadly sniper attack last year. The gunman, Mujahid Barakat Mansour, killed Sgt. First Class Ilay David Garfinkel and wounded several other soldiers on March 22, 2024, near the Dolev settlement. Mansour opened fire on civilians and soldiers before being killed in a helicopter strike after a prolonged exchange of fire with Israeli forces. The demolition aligns with Israel’s policy of destroying the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out deadly attacks, a practice intended to deter future violence.
Meanwhile, the IDF reported significant military activity across the Gaza Strip over the past day, conducting airstrikes on more than 45 targets. These included weapons manufacturing sites, primed rocket launchers, buildings used by terror groups, weapon depots, and cells of operatives, according to the military. Ground operations also continued throughout the region, with troops targeting Hamas infrastructure and operatives.

The IDF reported that troops destroyed multiple buildings, tunnels, and other infrastructure used by Hamas, in addition to killing several operatives. In northern Gaza, the 252nd Division operated in Gaza City’s eastern Shejaiya neighborhood, where soldiers killed several operatives, including through targeted airstrikes.
The operations reflect Israel’s ongoing efforts to dismantle terror networks in both the West Bank and Gaza, amid heightened tensions in the region.
