Mumbai: After creating waves with her electrifying special number Aaj Ki Raat in Stree 2, Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to push creative boundaries once again. The actress is headlining the much-anticipated supernatural thriller Odela 2, the sequel to the 2021 hit Odela Railway Station. Directed by Ashok Teja and produced by D Madhu under the banner of Madhu Creations, the film has already built significant buzz — especially surrounding Tamannaah’s never-seen-before avatar.
The makers have now officially confirmed that the theatrical trailer of Odela 2 will be unveiled in a grand event in Mumbai on April 8 (Tuesday). The trailer will be launched in both Telugu and Hindi, with the entire cast and crew expected to be in attendance.
Tamannaah essays the role of Shiva Shakti Naga Sadhu, a character that has caught everyone’s attention ever since the teaser dropped. Her dramatic transformation has been applauded widely — not just for the look, but for the intensity she brings to the performance. In a bold move, she reportedly shot for the film completely without makeup, and followed a strict sattvic (vegetarian and spiritual) diet throughout the shoot to align with the spiritual depth of the character. In solidarity, the crew also refrained from serving non-vegetarian food on set.
The teaser of Odela 2, which was launched during the Kumbh Mela last month, received an enthusiastic response. With the trailer release now just days away, promotional activities for the film are set to shift into high gear.
Director Ashok Teja has earlier stated that the film blends suspense and spirituality to create a compelling supernatural thriller. The film’s music has been composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, known for his haunting score in Kantara. The cinematography is helmed by Soundarrajan S, while Rajeev Nair serves as the production designer.
With a powerful story, striking visuals, and a bold central performance by Tamannaah, Odela 2 is poised to be one of the most exciting releases in the supernatural genre this year.
