Rajinikanth Becomes First to Watch Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan Trailer, Prithviraj Overwhelmed

"The very first person to watch the trailer of L2: Empuraan. I will forever cherish what you said after watching it, sir! This meant the world to me! Fanboy forever!".

Chennai:– Acclaimed actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran recently had a special moment to cherish as he met superstar Rajinikanth and gave him an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated trailer of L2: Empuraan. The legendary actor was the first person to watch the trailer, making the occasion even more memorable for Prithviraj, who later shared his excitement and gratitude on social media.

Posting a picture with Rajinikanth, Prithviraj expressed his deep appreciation, writing:

“The very first person to watch the trailer of L2: Empuraan. I will forever cherish what you said after watching it, sir! This meant the world to me! Fanboy forever!”.

A Longstanding Connection with Rajinikanth

Prithviraj has always spoken about his admiration for Rajinikanth. He fondly recalls receiving a call from the superstar after the release of his 2007 film Mozhi, an interaction that left a lasting impact on him.

Years later, after establishing himself as a director with Mohanlal’s Lucifer (2019), Prithviraj had the chance to narrate a script to Rajinikanth with hopes of directing him in a Tamil film. However, the project didn’t materialize due to various reasons, including Prithviraj’s feeling that he wasn’t ready with the perfect script to do justice to the legend.

Despite this, his latest meeting with Rajinikanth and the overwhelming response to the L2: Empuraan trailer is a milestone he will cherish forever.

L2: Empuraan’s Journey & Grand Release

Scheduled to release on March 27, L2: Empuraan has seen its share of challenges. The film faced financial disputes on the producers’ end, particularly with Lyca Productions, leading to uncertainty around its release. However, Sree Gokulam Movies’ Gokulam Gopalan stepped in, resolving the issues and ensuring a smooth release as planned.

With all hurdles cleared, the cast and crew have now shifted their focus to full-fledged promotions, and fans can expect the official trailer to drop soon, especially with less than ten days left for release.
