Trump Says U.S. in Talks with Four Groups Over TikTok Sale

TikTok's fate remains uncertain after a January 19 law forced ByteDance to divest. Trump delayed enforcement by 75 days upon taking office.

Air Force One: U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that his administration is engaged in discussions with four different groups regarding the sale of TikTok, the Chinese-owned social media giant, and affirmed that all options remain viable.

The platform’s future has been uncertain since a law requiring its parent company, ByteDance, to divest its ownership on national security grounds came into effect on January 19. After assuming office on January 20, Trump signed an executive order delaying enforcement of the law by 75 days.

When asked aboard Air Force One whether a deal was imminent, Trump responded, “It could.”
“We’re dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it … all four are good,” he added.
