Houston Texans Contribute $1M to Aid California Wildfire Relief Efforts

The funds aim to provide critical aid to those impacted by the Los Angeles-area wildfires.

Houston, Texas: The Houston Texans have committed $1 million to support the ongoing wildfire relief efforts in California. The donation, made on Friday, is part of a broader initiative to assist communities affected by the devastating wildfires in Southern California.

“The devastation caused by the wildfires in southern California is heartbreaking,” said Houston Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair. “We are proud to join together with our NFL family to provide support and resources to those who have been impacted as well as the firefighters and first responders who continue to work tirelessly to contain the fires.”

In total, the Texans’ contribution adds to a $5 million relief fund, with other donations coming from the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and the NFL Foundation. The collective funds aim to provide critical assistance to those affected by the wildfires in the greater Los Angeles area.
