Moscow: The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its “Center” group of forces has successfully captured the village of Zheltoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
“Units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Zheltoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry said in a statement reported by Russian media outlet Interfax.
Widespread Offensive in DPR
Russian forces reportedly achieved further victories in the DPR, defeating Ukrainian troops in multiple locations, including Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Dimitrov, Petrovka, and Pushkino. The ministry added that the Center group had repelled eight Ukrainian counterattacks, maintaining its strategic positions.
Advances by the Southern Group
Elsewhere in the region, the “Southern” group of Russian troops advanced into Ukrainian defensive lines. Strikes targeted Ukrainian brigades in Kurakhovo, Novomarkovo, Ostrovsky, Annovka, and Uspenovka, further consolidating Russian positions in the contested territories.

West Group Expands Tactical Gains
The “West” group of forces also reported significant progress, improving its tactical positions and inflicting substantial losses on Ukrainian personnel and equipment. Operations were conducted against two mechanized brigades, one airmobile brigade, two territorial defense brigades, and a national guard brigade. These engagements spanned areas such as Andreevka, Redkodub, and Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, as well as Novoegorovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic and Torskoye in the DPR.
According to the ministry, the West group successfully repelled 14 Ukrainian counterattacks by assault units, further weakening Ukrainian resistance in key regions.
