Donald Trump Jr. has sharply criticized the Biden administration’s recent decision to provide Ukraine with advanced military aid, claiming it is part of an effort to provoke “World War 3” before his father, Donald Trump, takes office in January.
On Monday, President Joe Biden approved Ukraine’s use of U.S.-supplied long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to strike targets within Russia, including the Kursk region, marking a notable shift in U.S. strategy. The missiles, with a range of 190 miles, offer a significant boost to Ukraine’s military capabilities.

Trump Jr.’s Claims
Trump Jr., 46, took to social media platform X, accusing the “military-industrial complex” of escalating the war to sabotage his father’s presidency and profit from the conflict.
“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” he posted. “Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!”
Heightened Tensions in Ukraine
Ukraine has been lobbying for these weapons for months, with plans to deploy them imminently to counter recent battlefield setbacks. The conflict, which began in February 2022 with Russia’s invasion, has already claimed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian lives and caused widespread destruction.
Trump’s Peace Promises
Donald Trump, 78, who recently won the presidential election, has pledged to bring an end to the conflict. He has already engaged in discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, aiming to broker a peace deal.
“As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together to negotiate peace and stop the killing,” Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, said in a statement.
While specific details of Trump’s peace strategy remain unclear, Trump Jr. is reportedly playing a key role in shaping the incoming administration, including decisions on high-profile cabinet appointments.
Broader Implications
The Biden administration’s move has intensified debates over the U.S. role in the conflict. Critics argue it risks further escalation, while supporters see it as a necessary measure to support Ukraine’s sovereignty. With the world watching, the incoming Trump administration faces mounting pressure to deliver on its promise of peace.
