Jerusalem: Hezbollah rockets struck Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, with Israeli police reporting the attack early on Monday. Israeli media further indicated that 10 people were injured in the northern part of the country due to the strikes.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility, stating it targeted a military base south of Haifa with “Fadi 1” missiles. Reports indicate that two rockets hit Haifa on Israel’s Mediterranean Coast, while five others struck Tiberias, located 65 kilometers (40 miles) away.
Police confirmed that some buildings and properties were damaged. Several people sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Surveillance footage captured the moment one of Hezbollah’s rockets hit Haifa. International news agency Reuters independently verified the footage by matching the building designs, business signs, trees, and road layouts to satellite imagery and files of the area. The timestamp of the footage aligned with corroborating reports, further confirming the video’s authenticity.

In response, Israel’s military stated that fighter jets targeted Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut. These strikes included intelligence-gathering infrastructure, command centers, and other key facilities.
The military added that airstrikes hit Hezbollah’s weapons storage facilities in Beirut, resulting in secondary explosions, which they attributed to the presence of weaponry. Other airstrikes were conducted in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, targeting additional weapons storage sites, infrastructure, command centers, and a rocket launcher.
The Israeli military accused Hezbollah of deliberately hiding command centers and weapons beneath residential areas in Beirut, putting the civilian population at significant risk.
