Iran Poised to Retaliate Against Possible Israeli Attack

Israeli Ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, has dismissed claims from Lebanon that Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah had agreed to a U.S.-brokered 21-day ceasefire before his assassination.

Iran has announced its preparedness to respond to any potential Israeli attack, according to statements from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Following a retaliatory missile strike last week, the IRGC warned that any Israeli action would result in immediate counterstrikes. Iranian officials claim to have identified specific Israeli targets and emphasized their ability to “level to the ground any place it desires.”

This escalation follows heightened tensions in the region, including the deaths of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC General Abbas Nilforoushan, reportedly in Israeli airstrikes.
