IDF Eliminates Key Hezbollah Leader Mahmoud Anisi, Explosions Reported Near Beirut Airport

Media reports confirmed that loud explosions were heard near Beirut International Airport, adding to the tension in the region.

Tel Aviv: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday, through a post on X, that they had successfully killed Mahmoud Yusef Anisi, a senior Hezbollah terrorist involved in the group’s missile manufacturing network in Lebanon.

In a statement, the IDF revealed, “Mahmoud Yusef Anisi, a senior terrorist involved in Hezbollah’s precision-guided missile manufacturing chain in Lebanon, joined Hezbollah over 15 years ago and was one of the leaders of the Hezbollah PGM campaign in Lebanon. He was a key source of knowledge and possessed significant technological abilities in weapons manufacturing. The IDF will continue to act against the threat posed by Hezbollah.”
