Drone Assault on Kyiv: Ukraine’s Military Successfully Defends the Capital

Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv's military administration, said on Telegram that Russia's drones targeting Kyiv were either destroyed or neutralized.

Kyiv: Russia launched several waves of drone attacks targeting Kyiv early on Monday, according to Ukraine’s military, which reported successful defense efforts by air defense units in the capital.

Witnesses in Kyiv, including those from Reuters, heard numerous explosions, indicating that air defense systems were actively engaging the incoming threats. Objects could be seen being intercepted in the air during the assault.

Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, stated on the Telegram messaging app that all drones launched by Russia at Kyiv were either destroyed by defense systems or neutralized through electronic warfare. He noted that estimates regarding the full scale of the attack would be provided later, but preliminary reports indicated no casualties or damage.
