Western and Soviet-Era Systems Operating Together

The AHS Krab has garnered considerable praise from Ukrainian forces for its 1,000-horsepower engine, allowing it to function effectively in harsh winter conditions. Armed with a 155mm howitzer, it can strike targets up to 40 kilometers away, with the ability to release up to three rounds in just 10 seconds, delivering rapid and precise firepower.

Alongside the AHS Krab, Ukraine has deployed the Soviet-era 2S7 Pion, a self-propelled gun that can strike targets up to 50 kilometers away using rocket-assisted munitions. Developed in the 1970s, the 2S7 Pion remains one of the most formidable artillery systems, capable of firing high-explosive, chemical, and even nuclear shells.

With this arsenal of advanced weapons, Ukrainian forces continue to make strategic gains in contested regions, illustrating the effectiveness of using Western and Soviet-era military systems together on the frontlines.
