‘Unacceptable and Un-American’: Ramaswamy Reacts to Latest Assassination Attempt on Trump

Ramaswamy urged the Secret Service to increase Trump's security to match that of President Biden.

New York: Former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped a second assassination attempt near a Florida golf club on Sunday. Trump, who was present at the golf course at the time, remains unharmed and is currently safe.

In the aftermath of the incident, former presidential candidate and Trump supporter Vivek Ramaswamy voiced his deep concern over the escalating political violence. Taking to the social media platform X, Ramaswamy condemned the attack and stressed the need to address this disturbing trend urgently.

“Yes, we are grateful that President Trump is safe, once again. But this growing pattern of political violence needs to STOP right now. It is unacceptable and un-American,” Ramaswamy posted, urging an immediate end to such violent acts.

Ramaswamy also called for heightened security measures for the former president, insisting that the Secret Service increase Trump’s protection to match the level afforded to the current President, Joe Biden. “I’m calling on Secret Service to IMMEDIATELY step up its protection for President Trump to the same level they provide to Biden. There’s no excuse not to at this point,” Ramaswamy wrote.

Highlighting the broader implications of these violent attempts, Ramaswamy added, “America is skating on thin ice, and I thank God we’ve now averted tragedy twice this summer. We can only hope that the two assassination attempts on President Trump already will be the worst things that happen this election cycle.”
