Lufthansa to Reopen Tel Aviv Routes, Beirut Flights Remain Suspended

Berlin: Germany’s Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) will resume flights to Tel Aviv starting Thursday, following an update from the airline. This decision comes after a series of flight suspensions due to concerns over escalating Middle East conflict.

Earlier in August, Lufthansa had announced the suspension of its Tel Aviv flights, initially extending the halt through September 4. However, the airline has now confirmed the resumption of its services to the Israeli city.

In contrast, Lufthansa will maintain its suspension of flights to Beirut, Lebanon, until September 30. This move reflects the ongoing instability in the region, stemming from Israel’s conflict with Hamas in Gaza and escalating tensions with Hezbollah, which have raised concerns about a potential wider regional conflict.
