Russian Forces Successfully Repel Ukrainian Border Breach Attempt in Kursk

Around 100 Ukrainian fighters attempted to breach the Kursk region's Sudzha area.

Moscow: Russian forces have successfully thwarted a Ukrainian attempt to breach the border in Russia’s Kursk region, according to the interim governor of the region, Alexei Smirnov, on Tuesday.

Smirnov reported that soldiers and Federal Security Service (FSB) border forces repelled the Ukrainian attack. The MASH Telegram channel, known for its contacts within Russian state security, indicated that around 100 Ukrainian fighters attempted to enter Russia in the Sudzha area of the Kursk region.

Earlier, Smirnov mentioned that Ukrainian shelling had wounded five people, including three children, in Russia’s Kursk region.
