Iran Declares 3 Days of Mourning Following Assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh

Iran has declared three days of mourning after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas. The attack occurred while Haniyeh was in Iran to attend the inauguration of the new president, Masoud Pezeshkian.

Hamas:
“This assassination by the Israeli occupation of Brother Haniyeh is a grave escalation aimed at breaking the will of Hamas and our people, achieving only false goals. We confirm that this escalation will fail to achieve its objectives.”
