Beyond beverages and cooling appliances, other sectors are also experiencing heightened activity. Swiggy Instamart reports a surge in orders for ice cream and cold beverages, while Flipkart notes a 40% increase in top-end sunscreen sales, driven by the need for sun protection during prolonged exposure to extreme heat.

However, logistical challenges loom large as the heatwave takes a toll on delivery workers, affecting operations for companies like Flipkart and Mamaearth, according to Ajay Rao, CEO of Emiza logistics.

Despite the challenges, the intense heat continues to reshape consumer behavior and drive economic activity across India.
