Apple Explores AI Partnership with Meta, Anthropic, and Perplexity

New York: Facebook’s parent company Meta Platforms has reportedly engaged in discussions with Apple Inc. about integrating Meta’s advanced AI model into Apple’s newly unveiled AI system for iPhones, according to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal.

Sources familiar with the matter, cited by the Journal, revealed that in addition to Meta, Apple has also been in talks with AI startups Anthropic and Perplexity. These discussions aim to potentially incorporate their respective generative AI technologies into Apple Intelligence.

As of now, there has been no official response from Apple, Meta, Perplexity, or Anthropic regarding these discussions, which are still in progress and may not necessarily result in agreements, as per the Journal’s report. However, if finalized, such partnerships would enable AI companies to significantly expand the distribution of their technologies through Apple’s ecosystem.
