The incident on Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321 on May 22 involved passengers experiencing severe turbulence. The aircraft descended sharply, causing panic among passengers as they described feeling sheer terror, with loose items flying and people being wrenched so badly that 20 individuals remained in intensive care.

One passenger, 24-year-old Josh Silverstone, recounted his experience, stating that upon arrival at the airport, he couldn’t stop vomiting and had difficulty walking due to the severity of the ordeal. Despite sustaining a cut in his eye and a chipped tooth, he considered himself fortunate that the situation wasn’t worse. He recalled purchasing in-flight internet access to message his mother, expressing his love for her during the frightening ordeal.

The cause of the turbulence that led to the Boeing 777’s rapid descent, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, remained unclear. The flight, originally from London to Singapore, was diverted to Thailand. Tragically, a British man passed away, possibly due to a heart attack.
