London: Kate, the Princess of Wales, currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer, penned a letter to an army regiment expressing her regrets for missing a military parade on Saturday, with hopes of returning soon.
“In light of my ongoing treatment, I deeply regret being unable to participate in this year’s Colonel’s Review,” Kate conveyed in a letter to the head of the Irish Guards regiment.
“Being your Colonel is a tremendous honor, and I extend my sincerest apologies to the entire Regiment. However, I am optimistic about representing you all once more in the near future,” she added.
The letter, dated June 3, was shared on social media platform X by the Irish Guards regiment.
