London: Court documents revealed on Monday that the British government aims to initiate the deportation of asylum seekers on July 23, contingent upon Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Conservative party securing victory in the upcoming election.
The deportation policy, designed to transfer asylum seekers who arrived in Britain to Rwanda, stands as one of Sunak’s key initiatives. However, legal and parliamentary hurdles have thus far prevented its implementation.

While Sunak previously indicated that deportation flights would not proceed before the July 4 election, he pledged to initiate them shortly thereafter should his party triumph. Nevertheless, the Conservative Party trails the opposition Labour Party by approximately 20 points in opinion polls, with Labour vowing to abolish the plan if elected.
