Ukrainian Drone Strike Causes Power Blackouts and Fires in Crimea

Crimea: A significant Ukrainian drone assault on Crimea early Friday resulted in power outages in the city of Sevastopol and ignited a refinery in southern Russia, according to Russian authorities.

The drone strikes were Kyiv’s response to Moscow’s ongoing offensive in northeastern Ukraine, exacerbating the strain on Ukrainian forces, who await crucial weapons and ammunition deliveries from Western allies.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported that air defenses intercepted 51 Ukrainian drones over Crimea, 44 over the Krasnodar region, and six over the Belgorod region. Additionally, Russian warplanes and patrol boats eliminated six sea drones in the Black Sea.
