Mumbai Hoarding Collapse: Actor Kartik Aaryan’s Relatives Among Victims

Mumbai: A devastating dust storm wreaked havoc in Mumbai, resulting in a catastrophic incident in the Ghatkopar area of the city. A massive hoarding collapsed, tragically claiming the lives of 16 individuals. Among the deceased were a couple, later identified as retired Air Traffic Control (ATC) general manager Manoj Chansoria, 60, and his wife Anita, 59, who were found to be relatives of Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan.

According to reports from Indian News websites, Kartik Aaryan, the popular Bollywood actor, attended the last rites of his relatives, held in the city on Thursday. The Chansoria couple, en route to their home in Madhya Pradesh, had stopped at a petrol pump near the hoarding to refill their car’s fuel tank. Tragically, the hoarding collapsed onto their vehicle, resulting in their untimely demise.

It was revealed that the couple had visited Mumbai for visa-related formalities, intending to visit their son Yash in the United States. However, their aspirations were shattered due to the fatal incident.

Their bodies were recovered 50 hours after the collapse, and their final rites were performed at the Sahar crematorium on Thursday, with Kartik Aaryan and other family members in attendance. The actor, however, has not yet issued a statement regarding the tragic event.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is currently engrossed in the promotional activities of his upcoming film, “Chandu Champion,” directed by Kabir Khan. The film promises to showcase the actor in an entirely new light, generating significant anticipation among fans. Social media is already abuzz with excitement following the release of the film’s posters, with the trailer set to be unveiled on May 18, Saturday.
