Russian Air Strike Targets Kharkiv: Civilians Injured, Buildings Damaged

Kyiv: A targeted air strike by Russian forces has struck Kharkiv, a densely populated district in Ukraine, unleashing destruction and causing civilian casualties.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov took to Telegram to report the incident, offering a grim account of the damage inflicted by the air raid.

According to Mayor Terekhov’s report, two guided air bombs were deployed, with one demolishing three garages and causing extensive damage to surrounding structures. The second bomb landed in an open area, heightening concerns about the safety of civilians residing in the densely populated regions of the city.

Further elaborating on the aftermath, Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Oblast Administration (OVA), provided updates via Facebook, confirming two injuries resulting from the attack.

The victims, a 52-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman, suffered acute stress reactions. Fortunately, both individuals received immediate medical attention on the scene, mitigating the severity of their injuries.

The air strike occurred in the early hours of May 14, around 06:00 local time, amidst air raid warnings, as reported by Ukrinform. With the city on high alert, local authorities remain vigilant, monitoring the situation closely and providing updates as the situation unfolds.
