London: Foreign Secretary David Cameron emphasized the distinctions between the United Kingdom’s arms export system to Israel compared to that of the United States, highlighting the relatively smaller scale and stringent regulations governing UK sales.

Responding to inquiries regarding whether the UK would emulate the U.S.’s stance of withholding weapons from Israel in the event of a major invasion of Rafah, Cameron underscored the fundamental differences between the two countries’ approaches.

“The U.S. is a massive state supplier of weapons to Israel… we do not have a UK Government supply of weapons to Israel,” Cameron stated following a speech. “We have a number of licenses, and I think our defense exports to Israel are responsible for significantly less than 1% of their total.”
