Chennai: Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of late legendary actress Sridevi, is inviting the public to experience her childhood home in Chennai, a property once owned by her beloved mother and film producer Boney Kapoor. The ‘Dhadak’ star’s residence has been added to Airbnb’s exclusive collection of properties owned by 11 iconic figures, opening its doors to guests for a unique stay, as revealed by People magazine.
Reportedly, a limited number of Airbnb users will have the privilege to rent Janhvi’s abode and partake in engaging discussions with her, along with savoring authentic South Indian delicacies.
Previously featured in Vogue India’s 2022 issue, Janhvi gave an intimate tour of her childhood abode, brimming with cherished memories of her late mother, Sridevi. Describing it as the first house acquired by the iconic ‘Chalbaaz’ actress, Janhvi, her sister Khushi, and father Boney had maintained a sense of privacy over the years. However, Boney recently renovated the house, allowing Khushi to host gatherings with her friends.
Reflecting on the tranquility found in her Chennai retreat, Janhvi expressed to the magazine, “In Mumbai, I’m never really at peace because it’s where work happens…In Chennai, on the other hand, my cousins come home to meet me…I feel like I can hit the pause button and pull myself together.”
