Apple Expands Footprint in India with a State-of-the-Art 15-Floor Office in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: In a strategic move to bolster local manufacturing in India, Apple inaugurates a cutting-edge office at Minsk Square, Bengaluru. Nestled in the heart of the city, near landmarks like Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka High Court, and Cubbon Park, the 15-floor facility features dedicated lab spaces, collaborative zones, wellness areas, and the iconic Caffe Macs. Easily accessible via the Cubbon Park metro station, the office aims to accommodate up to 1,200 employees.

Apple’s official statement expresses enthusiasm: “Apple is thrilled to expand in India with our new office in the heart of Bengaluru. This dynamic city is already home to so many of our talented teams, including software engineering and hardware technologies, operations, customer support, and more. Like everything we do at Apple, this workspace is created to foster innovation, creativity, and connection. It’s an amazing space for our teams to collaborate.”

Adhering to Apple’s commitment to sustainability, the interiors feature locally sourced wood, stone, and fabrics, complemented by an abundance of native plants. The office operates on 100% renewable energy, aspiring to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating – the highest in LEED certification.

Apple’s presence in India already includes offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram, with employees engaged in diverse roles spanning software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, customer support, and more. With over 3,000 employees in the country, Apple’s recent physical store openings (Apple BKC and Apple Saket in 2023) underscore its steadfast commitment to the Indian market.

Apple CEO Tim Cook highlights India’s significance, stating, “We had an all-time revenue record in India, we grew very strong double digits. It’s an incredibly exciting market for us and a major focus of ours. We have low share in a large market, and so it would seem that there’s a lot of headroom there… We see an extraordinary market—a lot of people moving into the middle class.”
