Trump Hints at Progress in US-Iran Nuclear Talks After ‘Very Good’ Weekend Discussions

Trump indicated the talks had yielded promising results.

Morristown, New Jersey: President Donald Trump signaled optimism on Sunday regarding renewed diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran, suggesting that negotiators made headway during weekend discussions aimed at curbing Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.

Speaking to reporters at the Morristown, New Jersey, airport before departing for Washington, Trump said U.S. officials had “very good” talks with Iranian representatives. The discussions reportedly took place in Rome, where U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff led the American side in meetings with the Iranian delegation.

“I think we could have some good news on the Iran front,” Trump said, following his stay at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.
