Free University and Technical Education Unveiled in ‘New’ Namibia

WINDHOEK, April 25, 2025: Namibia’s newly elected President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has announced a series of transformative initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure, housing, and education across the country.

In a landmark address, President Nandi-Ndaitwah revealed plans to construct seven state-of-the-art stadiums compliant with Confederation of African Football (CAF) standards, each with a capacity of 30,000 spectators. The stadiums are expected to elevate Namibia’s sports infrastructure and position the country as a hub for regional and international sporting events.

To address housing challenges in the capital, the president pledged to build 5,000 affordable homes in Windhoek specifically for low-income earners. This initiative aims to provide accessible housing solutions and improve living conditions for thousands of families.

In a bold move to enhance access to education, President Nandi-Ndaitwah announced the introduction of free education at universities and technical schools nationwide.
