Shakira’s World Tour Leaves Rayados Searching for a New Home Ground

The scheduling conflict emerged after Vancouver secured a place in the knockout stage with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Costa Rica’s Deportivo Saprissa.

Mexico City: Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour is impacting more than just the music industry—it has forced Monterrey’s Rayados to relocate their CONCACAF Champions Cup last-16 clash against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

With the Colombian pop sensation scheduled to perform at BBVA Stadium, Rayados have been left without their home ground for the crucial second leg on March 12. As a result, the match will now be played at Estadio Corona in Torreón, the home of Liga MX club Santos Laguna.

Fixture Confusion and Venue Dilemma

The scheduling conflict emerged after Vancouver secured a place in the knockout stage with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Costa Rica’s Deportivo Saprissa. When CONCACAF confirmed the fixture dates on Thursday, Monterrey was left scrambling to find an alternative venue.

Reports indicate that the Mexican club attempted to swap dates to host the first leg at home instead, but Vancouver rejected the proposal. The decision has left Rayados fans frustrated, with some expressing concerns over security and logistics surrounding the new venue.
