Three Soldiers on Board US Army Blackhawk Helicopter in Collision Near Reagan Airport

Washington: Three U.S. Army soldiers were onboard a Blackhawk helicopter that collided with a passenger jet near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, according to U.S. officials on Wednesday.

The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated that the status of the soldiers is currently unknown, though they clarified that no senior officials were aboard the helicopter. A second official confirmed that the Army’s UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter involved in the crash was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
