New Delhi: Indonesia and India have signed a broad range of agreements on Saturday, spanning sectors including culture, health, maritime, security, and digital technology. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just ahead of India’s Republic Day celebrations on Sunday.
President Prabowo emphasized his government’s commitment to deepening economic ties with India, noting that the partnership would be accelerated with a long-term focus. “We discussed many key sectors of common interest in which we would like to accelerate the level of cooperation,” Prabowo said in a press conference following the event. He also expressed gratitude for India’s support in Indonesia’s bid to join BRICS, highlighting the bloc’s potential for global stability and regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Modi, in his address, outlined areas for future collaboration, including defense manufacturing and supply chain enhancement. “We also decided to cooperate on issues such as maritime security, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, and de-radicalization,” Modi stated, underscoring the strategic nature of the partnership.
