Second Arrest Made in Saif Ali Khan Knife Attack Investigation

Mumbai Police had earlier detained a key suspect on Friday in connection with the attack.

Mumbai/Raipur: Authorities in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh detained a second suspect on Saturday in connection with the knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

The 54-year-old actor was stabbed six times during an attempted burglary at his Mumbai residence early Thursday. He sustained injuries to his spine, neck, and hands. Following surgery, doctors confirmed Khan is out of danger.

“We got information from Mumbai Police that a suspect is traveling by Jnaneswari Express train,” said Sanjeev Sinha, a representative of the Railway Protection Force, in a statement to ANI news agency. “Mumbai Police officials were contacted through video call, and the suspect’s identity was confirmed. He has been detained,” Sinha added.
