The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced their preparedness for the implementation of the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement with Hamas, which was officially approved by the Israeli government overnight. The agreement is slated to commence on Sunday, January 19th, at 08:30 AM local time.

According to the IDF statement, “The agreement will take effect on Sunday, January 19th, at 08:30, and as part of it, IDF troops will implement the operational procedures in the field in accordance with the set agreements.”

In preparation for the release of hostages held by Hamas, the IDF has undertaken comprehensive measures to ensure the welfare of those returning. “The IDF has been preparing to receive the hostages after their release from Hamas captivity and is operating to provide suitable physical and psychological support, with careful attention to every detail,” the statement continued.
