Beijing: A video of a cutting-edge Chinese stealth fighter jet, suspected to be a 6th-generation strike aircraft, has taken social media by storm. The unique tail-less design, observed in the video, suggests advanced stealth capabilities and state-of-the-art technology. According to defense analysts, China may have developed two prototypes of this futuristic aircraft.

The test flight reportedly took place over Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, and was conducted by Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC), as reported by the Eurasian Times. Accompanying the new stealth jet was a J-20 fighter, believed to have acted as a “chase plane” to monitor and record the test.

At the Zhuhai Airshow last month, the nation showcased the J-35A fifth-generation fighter jet and the carrier-capable J-15T fighter. The emergence of a 6th-generation stealth aircraft further underscores China’s ambitions to lead in global military aviation.

The Eurasian Times, citing military experts such as Chinese Army observer Rick Joe, detailed the aircraft’s three-engine configuration. Two engines are located at the bottom of the fuselage, while a third sits on top with a centrally positioned air intake. Despite its complex design, analysts predict the aircraft boasts ample internal space for advanced systems and payloads, offering unmatched operational flexibility.
